St Mary’s and Emmanuel relies on the generosity of its Church Family members for most of its income. This is how God resources our mission and ministry here.
If you would like to support the ministry here, there are several ways people can give financially to the Church:
• occasional gifts
• at services as part of the collection
• regular planned giving (via a standing order or an envelope scheme)
Planned giving has two main advantages. Firstly, it allows the church to plan ahead with much more certainty. Secondly, tax payers are able to make a Gift Aid declaration, enabling the Church to recover the standard rate of income tax on each donation. Currently this means that the Church receives an extra £25 for every £100 donated.
If you would like to give a one-off gift, you will still be eligible to claim Gift Aid if you are a tax payer. Simply place it in a special giving envelope found at the back of church and fill out the Gift Aid declaration form on the envelope.
Some of the forms that maybe helpful in enabling you to give to the ministry of our churches can be found here.
